Wedderburn Today

Wedderburn is a sleepy farming Hamlet (Pop 900) approximately 225Km NW of Melbourne on the Calder Highway. With a rich Goldfields history Wedderburn is part of Victoria's "Golden Triangle". Gold is still found here. The locals grow Wheat, Canola and Baa-Lambs. It is the Antithesis of St. Kilda and the Melbourne CBD but has its own charm. Here I will attempt to post (hopefully) frequent portraits of daily life in Wedderburn.

Beep Beep

Thousands of Tonnes of freight are hauled up and down the Calder Highway daily through Wedderburn. Here, we are almost halfway between Melbourne and Mildura. Posted by Picasa

Roads and Ways are made for dreaming. Where are leading roads and ways. To some marvellous countries. The calling of the large spaces of great plains of high mountains or sea-shores...

About the cat :
A great photo, this cat in the straw. Good mix of colours, the straw yellow and the color of the cat.
